This funding breakdown is for Eagle County residents who do not live within the town of Basalt. If your property is within Basalt town limits, visit our general commercial and multifamily rebates page. Rebates are available for existing buildings unless otherwise noted. Multifamily buildings are defined as complexes with four or more units in the building. Multifamily projects must be in the common area of the building and/or every unit of the building.

In addition to receiving funding from CORE for energy-saving projects, you may be eligible for additional funding through Holy Cross Energy, the State of Colorado, or the federal Inflation Reduction Act. If you are a Holy Cross Energy customer, submit your request for rebates to CORE and Holy Cross in a single application for residential projects. Replacing a fossil fuel system with:
Design costs and electrical capacity upgrade costs associated with a completed heat pump project will be included in the project cost used to determine the rebate.
Rebates can be requested once final construction design documents ("100% CD's") are provided.
If the building code prohibits natural gas, then no rebates will be provided.
Custom rebates are considered for projects that do not fall within the other project types but produce significant energy savings.
For nearly 20 years, English In Action has been operating in an aging 1,800-square-foot modular building. On May 1, 2024, thanks to the community's support, including a $40,000 grant from CORE, English In Action broke ground on a new 6,000-square-foot, brick-and-mortar, all-electric English In Action Center for Communications.
They plan to open their doors in 2025 to welcome their growing network of more than 400 learners, 300 volunteers, and 10 staff into a safe, welcoming, energy-efficient community learning and activity center.
