The state of our climate is rapidly changing and CORE is leading the way to address one of the biggest contributors to global warming: the built environment. Buildings make up 60% of the carbon emissions in the Roaring Fork Valley.

In 2023, CORE advanced more than 200 projects that lower carbon emissions in the built environment. We awarded more than $1 million in grants, rebates, and assessments to make these projects happen and change the landscape of our community.

When it comes to addressing the climate crisis, we need to act fast and we need to go big.

That’s where you come in.

The Stirling Giving Society

CORE founder and long-time board member, Bill Stirling, devoted 30 years to CORE, our community, and the environment. He represents altruism, giving back, and making climate action possible for everyone, for a better tomorrow.

The Stirling Giving Society honors Bill’s legacy and gives CORE a platform to recognize our most loyal donors, allowing us to continue the work Bill started. With a gift of $2,500 or more, you can be a part of this high-level network of donors that provides CORE with the essential support needed to conserve our region’s natural resources, cut carbon emissions to mitigate climate change, and continue the work that Bill started.

As a member of the Stirling Giving Society, you will be a part of our CORE community, invited first to all special events, and recognized in our annual appeal.
