Ryland French

Senior Director of Regional Climate Strategy

Ryland joined CORE in July of 2022, building on a decade in the Roaring Fork Valley managing facility and sustainability programs, projects and teams in the utility, government and private sectors. Prior to CORE, he was at the Aspen Skiing Company, and preceding that Ryland was at the City of Aspen, first in the utilities division, and then in Environmental Health & Sustainability. He brings a passion for excellence in order for his work to be impactful, persistent and replicable. Foundational to his life and work is a deep connection to nature and the people he shares his time with. Ryland is a serial collaborator and a diligent and scrutinizing learner. He is a Certified Energy Manager by the Association of Energy Engineers, and was previously a Certified Building Analyst by the Building Performance Institute. Other loves of Ryland’s include family, mindfulness, writing, reading, music, food, travel, snowboarding, and racing on foot, by bike and in triathlons.
