Phi Filerman

Phi is CORE’s Community Sustainability Manager, working with Roaring Fork Valley communities to meet and expand their climate goals. She became interested in sustainability while traveling in South America, where she became aware of the impacts of climate change and development on tourist destinations. This experience inspired her to obtain a dual master’s degree in business and environmental studies and go on to working in green building and sustainability. Her related experience includes work in LEED and sustainability consulting, sustainable real estate development, energy program development, program evaluation and solar. Phi has lived in Carbondale since 2014 and loves calling the Roaring Fork home. She can be found skiing, biking, and volunteering or spending time with the many wonderful people in our community. Phi has a dual master’s degree in business and environmental studies from CU Boulder where she focused on real estate development and sustainable tourism in mountain communities.

CORE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to leading the Roaring Fork Valley to a carbon-free, net zero energy future.
