A documentary film festival that uses the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world? Count us in!

Mountainfilm in Aspen returns to the Wheeler Opera House August 23-27 for its 9th annual festival, with CORE’s High Five as the 2017 Nonprofit Partner. It’s a hand-in-glove fit for the High Five, our local social movement that is uniting the Roaring Fork Valley to take action on the environment by saving energy.

In partnership with Telluride Mountainfilm, the Aspen festival will showcase nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues that matter. Along with exceptional documentaries, Mountainfilm goes beyond the film medium by bringing together world-class athletes, speakers, change makers and visionary artists for a multi-dimensional celebration of the indomitable spirit.

The High Five will be live at Mountainfilm, helping turn inspiration into action, with the Energy Confessional art installation, an Energy Warrior art station and the High Five’s 25 action steps, resources and prizes.
