New this fall, CORE is offering FREE building science trainings for construction workers on the jobsite. Known as the CORE Workforce Training, these lunch-and-learn sessions, offered in English or Spanish, are held on-site during the lunch hour and include lunch and drinks for the student crew. The courses are led by Beatriz Soto, a bilingual architect and CORE’s Community Outreach + Workforce Development Coordinator. Over the course of two classes, she covers principles and techniques of green building, from building codes, to the science of heat transfer, to air and vapor barriers. By the end of the course, students will gain a basic knowledge of the science behind high-performance construction. Email to sign up your team for a workforce training.
