Climate Action at its CORE

The state of our climate is rapidly changing and CORE is leading the way to address one of the biggest contributors to global warming: the built environment. Buildings make up 60% of the carbon emissions in the Roaring Fork Valley.


In 2023, CORE advanced more than 200 projects that lower carbon emissions in the built environment. We awarded more than $800,000 in grants, rebates, and assessments to make these projects happen and change the landscape of our community. 


When it comes to addressing the climate crisis, we need to act fast and we need to go big.

CORE’s Donor Circles are the backbone of our community-driven commitment to the community we all love. Climate Advocate, Ambassador, and Champion memberships are open to anyone who seeks to preserve and protect our environment. CORE's Donor Circles ensure that those who reside in and help the valley thrive can live sustainably in a healthy, clean, and carbon-free community.

  • CLIMATE AMBASSADOR – Annual Giving Levels of $2,500 and Up

    The CORE Climate Ambassador is our high-level network of donors who provide the organization with the bedrock of support crucial to conserving our valley’s natural resources and cutting carbon emissions to mitigate climate change.
